Who is Monty?

Lyn Montgomery, hence Monty’s, has been interested in antiques for 30 years, and her home is furnished entirely with vintage and antique furniture and accoutrements. “All my furniture is solid timber, preferably English oak, no chipboard or MDF for me,” Lyn insists.

In line with her personal philosophy of reusing and recycling Lyn has developed considerable expertise in restoring and refurbishing furniture and furnishings. Her store at Dirty Jane’s in Bowral provides an eclectic mixture of items such as old oak dressing tables, and 1930’s veneer furniture, all restored to their former glory, and more modern pieces given a new twist.

Then there are chairs, lamps, jewellery, rugs, curtains and bric-à-brac.

Also available, both in the physical stores and in our online eBay store website, are pictures and prints, plus a range of memorabilia, prints and other goods to appeal to the male buyer.
